Michelle is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who specializes in trauma-focused therapeutic services. Michelle uses drama therapy (story, metaphor, role-play), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), guided visualization and mindfulness to help women build skills to more effectively communicate their needs, manage their emotions, trust their inner voice, increase their capacity for flexibility and increase non-judgmental responses to their own distress.
Michelle has experience working with children, adolescents, adults, families, couples and groups. Michelle has worked in a variety of settings including schools, outpatient clinics, group homes, youth centers, county mental health services and in private practice.
Michelle enjoys bringing creativity and playfulness to groups and has an active therapeutic style. Michelle earned a B.A in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University and graduated with an M.A. in Counseling Psychology with a concentration in Drama Therapy from the California Institute of Integral Studies. In addition to being a Staff Therapist at Full Heart, Michelle runs a DBT group at VOICES in Santa Rosa and has a private practice.
